Can Cook
Can Cook began life in 2007 as a community project in Speke, Liverpool (one of the most deprived areas in England). Their first initiative involved working with a group of people from the community, teaching simple cookery skills using basic camping stoves in a tiny community centre canteen. The outcome was a cookery book 'Can Cook Will Cook' and featured recipes by each participant. From here the project developed into schools with an annual competition 'The School Sessions'. A second book 'Healthier' followed and plans for a dedicated cookery studio soon unfolded.
Today Can Cook has its own state of the art training facility and cafe and continues to deliver exciting education and outreach projects. I am proud to have
been involved from the beginning helping to shape
their brand and communications.
